With my sensitive, refined, intelligent and skilled touch, and my mature healing presence you have the opportunity to slow down, deeply relax, settle into yourself, feel, sense and journey into your inner realms. The result is pure unfettered presence of being leading the way into your healing and rejuvenation journey.

My work is integrative blend of techniques.

My unique approach is the result of 30 years of practice. I have synthesized and developed a blend of continuos flow techniques gleaned from years of practice, which is most akin to Swedish Esalen style and Hawaiin Lomi Lomi, incorporating aspects of deep tissue, passive stretching, Traeger and Reiki. No two sessions are alike. I do not approach the body from a template but rather from tuning in to and responding to what I am feeling in the moment.

The atmosphere of the session is contemplative and reverant.

A session can include guidance in the use of various breath awareness and transformative breathing practices, support for emotional release, assisted range of motion awareness and deep stretching, Reiki and energy healing, mindfulness guidance for somatic awareness, embodied presence and spiritual awakening. Knowing how to use words that guide you into your body’s somatic consiousness, my use of verbal guidance when needed is spacious, succinct and well paced, not interrupting but helping you to go deeper.

These sessions are for anyone who appreciates masterful massage.

My sessions are for you if you want to be touched by someone who is deeply present, sensitive, refined, caring and skilled. They are also for you who need serious help relaxing and getting in touch with yourself because of built up stress and tension, or other issues blocking you from feeling comfortable, relaxed and connected in you body/mind. They are also for you who have specific issues related to you body that you want to address through body work.
 
 

Movement Repatterning and Alignment Balancing

Balanced Alignment is about interconnection within the body.

Many of us think that “Alignment” is a static thing that we achieve by putting our body into a specific shape. That kind of static holding does not lead to relaxation of being, sense of well being or freedom of movement, which are the true goals of a balanced alignment. Those results that can only be found when balanced alignment is experienced as the interconnected relationship of the body parts through movement. In this work you will gain this understanding and embody it.

Balanced Alignment is balanced coordination and balanced movement.

You experience a new state of balanced coordination and range of motion as I guide you using specific exercises, movement explorations and hands on assisted movements that create new “Aha!” insights on a body level. You learn new ways of moving that create more strength, flexibility, freedom, balance, understanding the connectivity within yourself, how movement occurs within you for core support and how you move in space with that support.

Balanced alignment is a result of core support

Balanced alignment is not just holding yourself in a fixed position through will and mental focus. It is the result of the dynamic support of your Core. This dynamic support is not the simple support of a strong set of abdominals. It is the strength of the dynamic energy that gets activated through you when you understand the moving interconnectedness of all of your body parts. Without this awareness a strong set of “core” muscles won’t support balanced alignment.

Balanced Alignment Sessions are for everyone.

Whether you are involved with sports, dance, yoga, play an instrument or any other kinds of body activity, or whether you just simply love to stroll in nature, or, even if you are not very active with your body, this work will benefit you greatly. Through it you will experience greater ease of being and relaxation in your body, enhanced performance, creativity, a greater sense of ease and confidence, more strength, body intelligence, greater coordination, greater ability to learn new movements, less injury, and more integrated mind body conection and of course more pleasure.

The alignment of the body is part of your psyche and well being.

Balanced alignment is crucial to an experience of relaxation and well being in the body/mind/heart and spirit. The body reveals how you move through life and how you move through life can be positively influenced by the well being of the body. When you embark on the journey of finding your balanced alignment, you are embarking on a journey of reclaiming self connection and awakening.

My approach to the body is one of reverance.

For me this is crucial. Your body is your temple. I approach being with you in this process with respect, care and focused attention on you. Unlike normal fitness training sessions the attention is of a contemlative nature and supports your inner awareness and inner process. We do not chit chat or talk about the weather. This is a time for you to get focused attention on you and your self exploration. I guide you in a way that is focused on your process and in tune with the timing and unfolding of how you are integrating what you are learning. The quality of the verbal interaction between us is quiet, contemplative and the energy of the session supports relaxation and focus. You come away feeling relaxed and refreshed.
